Both business and travel can sometimes sabotage the best of your intentions. Consistency is key! Developing good, healthy habits is what gets you the results you want… and helps you keep them!

Here are my top tips for not letting anything get in the way of your healthy, active lifestyle- especially when you’re traveling!

Top TIPS TO STAY IN SHAPE ON THE ROAD

1. Make the most of your personal or business travel.

Many people ask me how I maintain my body goals while traveling with my Herbalife team or even my family. The answer is simple. I love the lifestyle! I surround myself with positive, like-minded individuals and I travel with my products. Your travel experience should not interfere with balanced nutrition or prevent you from being active.

Can you enjoy the foods you love? Absolutely!

When you have a plan that you have been following for weeks, months, or years it’s much easier to enjoy a “cheat” meal because you know what it takes to get back on track. While on vacation, you’re typically away from the people that may be making you feel busy all the time. Vacations are time for self-care so why not continue the lifestyle away from home and encourage those you meet on the road to join you!

2. Extra Workouts

If you’re on a business trip, once your meetings are done for the day you can hit the gym, take a hike, ride bikes, or perform an in room workout using YouTube (if available). If you’re more of an early morning person, you can get up for a morning workout on the beach, in the gym or also in your room. Get creative while on vacation and just keep moving. The choice is yours! Just try to get that 20% in for your mind and body, no matter what.

3. Find New Foods

When you’re in a new city or country, you can get great ideas on how to spice up your weekly home menu. Vacation is a great way to try new foods and indulge in the culture, while maintaining your healthy eating habits. It’s okay to have a “cheat” meal occasionally.

4. De- Stress

Even though we are on vacation, we often are always on the go and never really take a day to breathe and enjoy self care time. I personally enjoy winding down in the evenings with a cup of Herbalife Relaxation Tea and good music or a movie. I sometimes will wake up to a good cup of energy tea to get my day started that is packed with B vitamins and immunity essentials to keep my immune system strong, especially when traveling while COVID is still rampant. Just take time to go out on the balcony  or patio to clear your mind, gather your thoughts for the day, and prepare for an amazing day with your family, friends, or coworkers.

5. Add An Extra Day Off

You can be on vacation without being on vacation. A buildup of stress or negative energy can impact your weight goals just as much as getting off your nutrition plan or missing workouts. If you’re away on a business trip, think about adding on an extra day just for you once the business trip has ended before returning home.

6. Don’t Use Excuses

Many people use vacation as an excuse to get off their plan or the reason why they gained weight. When I added Herbalife to my regimen, I was able to use our sample packs to make traveling easier to stay on my nutrition goals. I take my tabs in my tab box to fill in the gaps, my skin care products for face care, and I take aloe-based sunscreen. No excuses to fall off the plan when you can travel with your products.

The best you can do to stay in shape on the go is to make your health a priority. Being disciplined and consistent as much as possible is what will help you reach and maintain your body goals.

The best way to stay in shape is to be consistent with a healthy lifestyle and exercise routine!
